Accessibility
Statement
Draftlure Studio believes that good design is design that as many people as possible can use comfortably. We are committed to considering accessibility throughout our work and to making this website reasonably accessible. This statement describes our approach, its scope, and how to reach us with any concerns.
1. Our commitment
Accessibility is part of how we think about composition, not an afterthought. We treat clear hierarchy, legible typography, sufficient contrast, and considered layout as core to a design that works well — and as qualities that benefit every visitor, including those who rely on assistive technologies.
2. How we approach accessibility in design
In the work we produce, we aim to use readable type sizes and comfortable line lengths, to maintain meaningful colour contrast between text and its background, to preserve a logical reading and structure order, to design clear and visible interactive states, and to respect user preferences such as reduced motion where motion is used. These principles guide the visual systems we hand to those who implement them.
3. This website
We have built this website with the same principles in mind, including legible typography, considered contrast, keyboard-operable interactive elements where applicable, and support for reduced-motion preferences. We test our pages with reasonable care, while recognising that accessibility is an ongoing effort rather than a single fixed state.
4. Scope and limitations
Draftlure Studio is a design practice and does not provide development, hosting, or platform configuration. The final accessibility of any implemented project depends substantially on how a design is built, the content placed within it, the platform used, and ongoing maintenance — matters that fall outside our scope. Unless a specific accessibility standard is agreed in writing as part of an engagement, our design deliverables are not certified as conforming to any particular standard or legal requirement.
5. Working toward standards
Where a project calls for it, we are glad to work toward recognised accessibility guidelines and to collaborate with your development team so that accessibility goals carry through to implementation. Such goals, and the responsibilities for meeting them, are defined together at the start of the engagement.
6. Third-party content
This website may rely on a hosted platform and may reference third-party resources whose accessibility we do not control. We are not responsible for the accessibility of external sites or services, though we welcome being told if a third-party element associated with our site presents a barrier.
7. Ongoing improvement
We regard accessibility as a continuing commitment. As standards evolve and as we receive feedback, we aim to refine both our design practice and this website. We appreciate that no site is ever perfectly accessible to everyone, and we treat reports of difficulty as valuable input.
8. Feedback and how to reach us
If you encounter any difficulty using this website, or if you have suggestions for how we could make it more accessible, we would genuinely like to hear from you. Please contact the studio using the details below, describing the page involved and the nature of the difficulty so that we can look into it.
9. How we respond
We aim to acknowledge accessibility feedback promptly and to take reasonable steps to address issues within our control. Where an issue lies with a third-party platform or with an implementation produced by another party, we will say so and, where we can, point you toward the appropriate route to resolution.
10. Changes to this statement
We may update this Accessibility Statement from time to time as our practice and this website develop. The current version is always the one published on this page, identified by the date above.
